Weight Loss History
I have tried Weight Watchers and Slimming World and all the ‘fad’ diets you can think of. I have managed to lose a couple of stone but put it all back on again with some more!
I have yo-yoed weight wise for most of my life. I tend to get easily bored when eating becomes regimented.
How being overweight has affected you…
When you are overweight it does knock your confidence and self-esteem. You tend to hang around in the background and not socialise as much. It also prevents you wearing fashionable clothes. People also tend to perceive you as ‘lazy’ and ‘stupid’ when you are overweight so your confidence goes downhill fast.
Motivation to Lose Weight
My motivation was really my age! I couldn’t bear the thought of reaching Fat 50!
Discovering Weight Loss Resources
I typed ‘Weight Loss’ into the search engine on my computer one evening. The rest is history as they say! I joined in March on the free trial and I stayed.
How Weight Loss Resources Helps
Weight Loss Resources has worked!
I manage to stick to Weight Loss Resources because I feel I can eat what I like…in smaller portions which is great.
I found myself more relaxed with the site and the message boards are tremendously helpful. With WLR I intend to stay slim. I still have a way to go but I am on my way!
Everyone I know has remarked on my weight loss and I feel so much better without my ‘excess baggage.’
I am much more aware of what I eat due to the advice given on the site and the help from the message boards. I now eat to live – I no longer live to eat.
I get a lot of support from my daughter who is also a member. We spur each other on!!
The Best of Weight Loss Resources
I fill in my food diary daily. It’s a ‘must do’ as you often forget that little extra you have eaten during the day.
Other members' posts on the boards are extremely helpful. It’s amazing how many members have posted hints and tips. The members are fantastic! More power to them!
Amy's Tips for Losing Weight
I have a few tips:-
Eat all your daily calorie quota otherwise your weight loss slows down because your body thinks it’s starving.
Drink plenty of water. I try to drink at least 2 litres a day. Helps to flush out toxins and fat!
Take each day as it comes and if you fall off the wagon, climb right back on. Speak to other members in chat or via the boards.
Enjoy the new you!!!
If you need help with any aspect of weight loss the helpteam are brilliant. The member support is always there. You only have to ask and within minutes you will receive some great advice from others in the same position as yourself.
